mermaid quilt

A few months ago, I stumbled upon Heather Ross' "Mendocino" fabric collection and fell in love with the mermaids, octopus, and kelp. It was perfect for a quilt for June - gorgeous and right up my marine biologist/non-girly alley. First, though, I had to learn how to make a quilt. :)

With help from Elizabeth at Oh, Fransson! I managed to pull it off! Here's the finished product:
