for my birthday, my loving brother and stylish sister-in-law sent me sibella court's design book etcetera etc. her philosophy behind interior design is to take your time, gather around you the artifacts in your life that really matter and make these artifacts the starting point and focus of your home. she talks about picking 10 colors from your favorite things in life and making these ten colors your palette. not only is the book wise and insightful, it is truly gorgeous and inspiring. i am in love.
