Stumbled upon designer Angie Hranowsky's website today - via another blog I love, Little Green Notebook - and I must say...amazing! Some of her rooms have been in my inspiration folder for a while but I didn't know her by name. The girl loves her David Hicks La Fiorentina, as do I - who doesn't? So here's some gorgeous Friday inspiration for ya.

high gloss...and ethnic rugs

The new online shelter mag High Gloss is up and rolling! The magazine's editor-in-chief is Paloma, over at the fabulous blog, La Dolce Vita. One the trends featured a few times in the first issue is ethnic rugs in the kitchen. This is a look I've been digging for a while. Whether suzani or kilim - these warm, vibrant rugs tone down the sleek and cool aspects of a kitchen. Make it seem more like a room.



I had my eye on this indoor/outdoor beauty from Pottery Barn for our kitchen. But alas, I never pulled the trigger and now it's out of stock. Doh! How great would this look with greige lower cabinets and white upper cabinets or shelves.
